I follow this principle for all my life. Since my early childhood I love and respect every living thing in any form. My desire is to understand the laws of nature and to follow them. 

"The more I know the more I realize that I know nothing."

Dogs always have taken a very special place in my life. I love all dogs, whether they have a pedigree or not. So I have always dedicated a big part of my time to cynology: the study of art- and race-specific behaviors and characteristics, the Kennel Club, the animal welfare. Through my many years abroad in Bulgaria, I met the animal welfare issue from an entirely different perspective. As the responsible person for breeding terms and contacts for puppy buyers in the "Club for Friends of the Rottweiler" Bulgaria, I collected a lot of practical experience in dealing with dogs and people, and I was never disappointed in the dogs. ;-) 

I becam a Collie fan when I was still a young woman because of a friend of mine, who was breeding and judging Collies herself. She taught me a lot about Collies. However, it still took many years untill my first own Collie came to me: 

When it became clear that the time for a own Collie has come, I started with an intensive search for "my perfect Collie." I've had a very specific image in my mind and I've researched intensively on the Internet and at Dog Shows, which line could fit to my idol. After I had visited about 200 Homepages of Collie breeders in the whole world, I came across the Dirasca Collies. With the breeder Monika Rasche I've started an intensive exchange of experience, which continues until now. Again, I had found a friend that I could learn a lot from (and still can). At this point, a very heartfelt thank you, dear Monika, for your friendship! 

Because of Monika Rasche I put my attention to Mrs. Alison Grainger's wonderful Samhaven Collies, which I am absolutely fascinated of. After visiting Crufts at 2008 we went together to see the Samhaven kennel and also the Sandiacre kennel of Sandra & Jack Wigglesworth. With the Sandiacre Collies, I was delighted for a long time and had heard many good things about their beauty and their character. My good friend Emilia Ivanova, El Hor Star Collies (BG), a big Sandiacre fan by herself, gave me the idea, to meet these collies in the flesh when I will be in the UK. Thank you, dear Emilia! When I entered the Sandiacre kennel, I knew immediately that I had found my Collie type. Two years of intensive research had an end and a name: it should be a Sandiacre! 

There was only one problem: the Wigglesworths do not breed anymore for some years. There is only one dog, CH Sandiacre Schumaker "Pronto", which is used for breeding, but at that time he was already seven years old! Of course I wanted my Collie to be a daughter of "Pronto"! He fascinated me with his beautiful shape, his self-confident expression, his perfect ears, his elegant neck line, his big golden coat and his wonderful movement. Well, this description fits to all Sandiacre Collies I saw that day. A very special happiness to me was to meet "Pronto's" older brother CH Sandiacre Sacre Bleu "Paris" in the flesh. I had heard so much about him and seen such great offspring, but when I saw him in real, he surpassed all of my expectations! To me he probably is the most beautiful Collie ever! 

From the bottom of my heart I would like to say a big thank you to Sandra and Jack Wigglesworth  for helping and supporting me to find my "Dream Collie"! "Pronto" has already produced very nice offspring and therefore often come nice Collie ladies to visit him, so I waited for a very special bitch to come along, which should be similar to my idol. I did not have to wait very long.

When I learned that Mrs. Gill Unstead (Atendus) mated her Atendus Secret Shared "Wishes" to "Pronto", my heart missed a beat. "Wishes" is bred from the beautiful old Samhaven lines: she is line bred 2/3 to Samhaven Made in Devon "Ambros" (a son of CH Samhaven Forgotten Charm, the litter sister to "Paris'" & "Pronto's" sire CH Samhaven Addiction JW "Elgin" and also a granddaughter of Sachenda Stand 'n' Deliver - a "Paris" son. "Wishes" is also line bred 3/4 to CH Samhaven Love Hurts "Trent". Therefore, on both sides of this mating (6 times in all) we can find the absolute top stud dog Pelido Forgotten Dreams! 

I was incredibly lucky: not only that 6 wonderful puppies were born (one male and 5 females), I even got my personal "pick of the litter" and in addition to it a wonderful new friend! Dear Gill, I thank you with all my heart for this unique Collie, my absolute dream girl: Atendus Yantra!
